Is it free?
Yes, completely free, with no ads.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Never. The app sends nothing to the internet, and there are no accounts and no tracking. See the privacy policy.
Does the drop zone cover my apps?
No. A few seconds after the mouse leaves it, it tucks into a slim strip at the screen edge, and grows back as soon as you hover it or drag a file to it. You can also hide it under the ^ arrow on the taskbar.
How do I open a file in the viewer?
Right-click the photo or file, choose "Open with", then kemoTools.
How do I change the language?
Right-click the drop zone and choose "English" or "العربية". The app reopens in that language.
Which video and audio formats?
Video converts to MP4 or WMV, or you can keep just the sound as MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or WMA. It reads MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WMV and WEBM. Conversion uses Windows' own converters, so it's fast and keeps the app small.
Is it heavy on my PC?
No. While it waits it uses no CPU and only about 13 MB of memory.
Why only from the Microsoft Store?
For your safety: there the app is checked and signed by Microsoft, installs without warnings, and updates itself.
How do I uninstall it?
In the Start menu, right-click kemoTools and choose "Uninstall".
What do I need to run it?
64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Nothing else to install.
